Agrigento
Agrigento, located on the southwest shore of Sicily, is a city steeped in history and culture. Its most famous attraction is the Valley of the Temples,
a World Heritage site featuring remarkably well-preserved ancient Greek temples.
Just south of Agrigento, lies a charming seaside town of San Leone- this is where the Baia de Ulisse hotel is located!
The Baia de Ulisse hotel sits just above the coastline, providing us with beautiful views and access to the beach. This is where the party is going to be at!

Getting here
Where to fly ...
We recommend flying to one of three main airports Palermo airport (PMO), Catania (CTA) and Trapani-Birgi (TPS). Please take the time to look for flights considering your budget and travel time. Travel time to the venue (San Leone) will take a maximum 2:30hr drive from Catania and a much shorter time from Palermo and Trapani 2-2.5hrs.
Palermo (PMO)
Situated in the north west of the island, and in-between the other two airports. This is a 2:15 drive from the airport to Agrigento San Leone by car. A favourite in recent years as it has been the cheapest but covid may affect this, so please check your flight options.
Trapani (TPS)
Situated in the west of the island, this half military base has been an option occasionally over the years. Please check flight options, recently (OCT 2023) the flights for July were cheaper from Manchester to Trapani than Stanstead to Palermo. Travel time by car to San Leone is 2:20hr.
Catania (CTA
The furthest away on the east of the island. But, don't let this fool you as it is only an extra 15 minute drive thanks to the Auto Stradale. Some say it's a nicer airport? I guess it's next to a super volcano. Catania is a really nice place and option. Easyjet are the main operator that fly to here.
Travelling around the island by car
Although not the cheapest option, we like to rent a car as it gives us most flexibility and the bus drivers can be... errrmm.... Italian...
as in won't move on until they finish their cigarette first...
If you do rent your own vehicle we would recommend using a reputable and international company, rather then local businesses to avoid any scams or extra charges. Renting a vehicle usually costs anything from £250-450 for something like a Fiat Panda depending on time of booking, insurance etc. We would fully recommend choosing the best insurance premium to prevent any big excess payments.
By Bus
Details of getting to the hotel can be found below for the Cuffaro bus service that links Palermo airport (PMO) to Agrigento bus station. A return journey comes up to €14.20 per person for a return ticket that lasts for 30 days.
Equally there are also other bus services which can be used to travel from Catania to Agrigento airpot- e.g Flexibus oand RometoRio.
The Church
Chiesa di San Nicola
This 13th Century church, known for its beautiful architecture, is dedicated to Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors and travelers.
It is surrounded by the ruins of an amphitheater and a garden that overlooks the Valley of Temples
.

By taxi...
Taxi journeys from Agrigento to the hotel should cost no more than €25. Uber works, but isn't very good in rural areas.
By Bus...
Agrigento has a big bus station with lots of services and a ticket office with english speaking
receptionists. Once in Agrigento, you want to take the local bus service, Linea 2 of the Transporti Urbani Agrigento (TUA) to San Leone, Le Dune, Via Magellano. Then it's a 7 minute walk up to the main gates of the Hotel (Via Lacco Ameno).
